Amazon’s corporate headquarters in Seattle have been expanding consistently over the past few years and is the home?to the largest number of Amazon employees. Amazon employs 40,000 people in Washington state, up from 26,500 employees a year earlier.

Among the 30 employees of the company, 28 were from registered impoverished families. Due to the stable income of the job, 18 of them have been successfully lifted out of poverty. The expanded recruitment is expected to help another 50 to 80 low-income residents shake off poverty next year.

Amazon’s deal to purchase Whole Foods for .7 billion closed in August, and the combined company has since been rolling out changes and integrations within the 470 stores across the U.S., U.K. and Canada.?Amazon quickly lowered prices on various in-store Whole Foods items?like salmon, avocados, apples, and more when the deal closed.
